Town of Tisá can be found in Krušné hory not far from the Czech-German border. Not so large town (about 12 km2) lies 548 meters above sea and there were 918 people living in Tisá in January 2013. Tisá has all the basic town buildings, including a kindergarten, a post office, various shops, puppet theater Skaláček and even a small cinema.
The name hints a poisonous tree, which is not a coincidence. It is said that the Slavs have seen large fields of yew around 500 AD.
TIP: Tisá lies just a few kilometers from Děčín
The town of Tisá is known for its button-making tradtion. Some of the largest button factories were located in Tisá, as well as other textile haderbasher's. Since 1750, button-making was the way of life for most of the citizens. Button-making v is sadly just a history today in Tisá.
Tisá's surroundings offertrips and viewpoints all around the town. Fortimes like these it is best to stay here and go see local sights.
